This historic home, on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Armory Park Neighborhood, belonged to the Honorable Charles Blenman, and was in his family for approximately 100 years. 
Built in 1878, the estate it is thought to be the only known example of a San Franciscan Victorian home built in the Territorial-style of adobe mud. The property went through extensive renovations and remodeling in the late 1990's, which included the preservation and restoration of all of the original woodwork, doors, and trim, which had been carefully packaged and stored in the home's carriage house.
The living space consists of 5,704 square feet.  The main 1-story residence house is comprised of 4,567 square feet of living space, and is on its own tax code.  The former 1,137 square foot carriage house was converted to a caretakers house in the 1990's, and is on separate tax code, along with the pool and spa area.  The main house has maintained its historic charm, including the original Pacific fir wood architectural accents, leaded glass skylights and transoms, and intricate fretwork that enhances the old-world ambiance.  With the exception of the 7 bathrooms and the kitchen, the entire house boasts oak and fir wood floors throughout.  
The property includes two tax codes: 117-13-1730 and 117-13-1740, zoned HO-3 and C-3 respectively, by the City of Tucson.  The entire property has mostly been used as an estate residence over its 140 year history, and has been used in a mixed use capacity and run as an Inn for the past 20 years.
The zoning is well suited for maintaining a residential estate, however, the home's HO-3 zoning allows for mid-rise office development and other land use which provides compatibility with other adjoining residential and multi-use properties.
